In November 2025, Dr. Ya-Jun Pan and Dr. Emmanuel Witrant were awarded the funding of around CAD $1,000,000 in total by the Canada-France CFP for AI project supported by NSERC Canada and ANR France.

In August 2025, Dr. Ya-Jun Pan presented her invited openning talk entitled as "Introduction to IES: Vision, Impact, and Opportunities" at the 2nd IEEE IES SYP Congress, Tunis, Tunisia.
In July 2025, Dr. Min Xia who is a Professor from Western University, was invited to give a seminar entitled as "Repurposing Retired Lithium-ion Batteries from Electric Vehicles for Sustainable Energy" at Dalhousie University as a kick-off event for the newly formed IES Chapter in the IEEE Canadian Atlantic Section.
In June 2025, Dr. Ya-Jun Pan presented her invited talk entitled as "Intelligent Adaptive Control: from Autonomous Systems to Human-Robot Interaction" at the Workshop at the University of Agder, Grimstad, Norway.
In May 2025, Dr. Emmanuel Witrant who is a Professor from the Université Grenoble Alpes in France, was invited to give a seminar entitled as "Thermonuclear Fusion and Profiles Control in Tokamaks" at Dalhousie University as a kick-off event for the newly formed IES Student Branch Chapter in the IEEE Canadian Atlantic Section.
